I am Jayde Kief, Actor and Dance Educator/Dancer/Choreographer, currently in Chicago, IL.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, I moved to Los Angeles, CA, at 14 years old to pursue a career in dance and acting. There I graduated from CHAMPS Charter High School of Multimedia and Arts, and next studied Dance Science & Dance Pedagogy at Glendale College.
Among my many artistic endeavors in Los Angeles, I was heavily involved with The Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts. There I participated in the Art of Choreography (Mark Slavkin) project for two years, was selected to perform my solo for the Board of Directors (Paul Cruz), and was a founding member of their first resident acting troupe, The Wallis Studio Ensemble (Madeleine Dahm).
Fall of 2019 I relocated to Chicago, seeking personal growth and the green of the MidWest. I currently teach ages 18months-18years the disciplines of Ballet, Graham, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, and Tap at Visceral Dance Center, A Fairytale Ballet, VOLTA Performing Arts.
Focusing on teaching and choreography, I have proudly been selected as Rehearsal Mistress for Fairytale’s Nutcracker 2022 & 2023 performances, Artistic Director of Fairytale’s Summer Intensive 2023, and recently debuted as Artistic Director of my own version of the Nutcracker at VOLTA Performing Arts.
In 2024, I hope to debut my first full-length contemporary dance-theater work at Chicago’s oldest running Fringe Festival, RhinoFest.
